Creative Mental Health Counseling

Virg Augoustatos, MA, LMHCA

You are welcome here.

Life is abundant with ups and downs, joys and sorrows, adventures and mundanes. Sometimes we feel lost, lonely, or disconnected from the world around us and it can be difficult to find the way forward. I commend your choice to seek guidance on your journey.

Perhaps you’ve arrived here because…

You struggle to validate your feelings and often experience guilt, shame, or self-doubt.

You want to develop a sustainable, harmonious relationship with your emotional self.

Your relationships feel strained, lonely, or difficult to navigate.

You want to feel more confidence, ease, and connection in yourself and with others.

Your body has not been the safe, loving home you wish for it to be.

You want to feel more attuned to your body and the rhythms of life.

You’ve experienced trauma, loss, or change that disconnected you from yourself and others.

You want to become more aware of your patterns, needs, desires and feel empowered to
take action toward a life filled with purpose and meaning.

The weight of grief makes life feel unbearable.

You want to feel proud of the life you are living.

If any of these statements resonate with your experience, it’s important for you to know:

Change is possible, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on the path of healing.

Collaborative and creative therapy can help you find more freedom and fullness in life.

Why Prismatic Arts?

Light refracting through a prism mirrors the process of therapy. Rays of light are experienced as an orchestra of colors previously hidden. Similarly, therapy provides a comprehensive look at the strengths, beliefs, and values that play a role in the greater narrative of your life. What was once a limited and rigid understanding of the self is transformed into multifaceted, expansive self-awareness. Therapy invites you into the realization that you are already whole and that who you are, right now, is enough. The ritual of therapy creates space for compassion, curiosity, and possibility in the constellation of yourself and your life.
