We will co-create communal and personal strategies for being with your grief. Drawing from the creative arts, drama therapy, ritual, and somatic practices, this group offers a unique alternative to healing that privileges authentic expression.
Often, there aren’t enough words to describe our grief. Traversing the depths of grief using creative arts can give form to our experience of loss and invite us to deeply witness and commune with our grief. In this group, you are invited to explore your unique expression of grief through various creative modalities including creative writing, role playing the parts of grief, storytelling, and art making.
This group is a healing space to share and process your grief. All types of loss are welcome.
All Types of Loss Welcome
Although no two person’s of grief is the same, I invite people with all types of loss to join this group. Pain cannot be ranked, placed on a hierarchy, or invalidated by the suffering of another. Grief is unique and grief is universal. There is wisdom, healing, and courage in shared grief.
Loss of a Loved One
Loosing a loved one can turn our world upside down and leave us feeling broken. You are not broken. You are learning how to hold the pain of having loved so deeply.
Structural Loss
Loss of a job or a home can involve deep grief that often goes unrecognized. Your grief is valid. This group is a space for your grief to be witnessed, honored, and explored.
Collective Grief
There are many heartbreaking tragedies taking place in the world. Genocide, war, natural disaster. The grief you hold in response to witnessing global suffering is important and honorable.
