53-Minute Individual Therapy Appointment: $175

Like most specialty providers, I do not participate in any insurance plans. Paying out-of-pocket is a great option for people who want maximum privacy, confidentiality, and flexibility. I accept all major debt, credit, HSA and FSA cards. Payment is due at the time of the appointment.

As part of my commitment to make therapy more accessible, I accept a limited number of clients on a sliding-scale payment structure. In the case you have a financial need for sliding-scale, please inquire about sliding-scale availability.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, if you need to cancel your appointment, please provide 24 hours notice. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice and you are not able to reschedule your appointment (and attend) within the same week, you will be responsible for the full cost of your session.

  • This depends on many things, but ultimately you decide how long you would like to be in therapy. I can’t effectively predict how long it will take for you to meet your goals for therapy, but it is important that you start to notice progress within the first 3 months of therapy. If you aren’t noticing progress along the way, we’ll work together to see what might be getting in the way.

  • I meet with most of my clients on a weekly cadence. I ask that all new clients start with weekly appointments for at least the first four weeks. This allows us to build trust, build a solid treatment plan, and help you see progress earlier. We can collaboratively discuss shifting to a different frequency after a few weeks or months.

  • Yes! I love welcoming clients into my quirky office in the heart of Fremont in Seattle. If you aren’t located in Seattle, I can see anyone living in Washington virtually using a telehealth platform.

  • Yes! Before scheduling a therapy session, I do a free 20 minute intro call with all potential new clients. This gives us the chance to get to know each other. Here’s what you can expect:

    • I’ll ask you about why you’re seeking therapy

    • I’ll tell you a bit about myself and my approach as a therapist

    • You can ask me any questions that I didn’t cover

    • We’ll talk about rates, insurance, availability, etc.

  • If you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance company will typically reimburse you for 60-80% of the cost of each session after you’ve met your deductible.

Use this calculator to get an instant estimate of your OON coverage, including your deductible and amount remaining on deductible, as well as an estimated reimbursement amount post-deductible.

I’d also be happy to check your benefits for you! Just make sure to have your insurance card handy, with your Member ID, during our free intro call or intake appointment.

Or if you prefer, you can confirm the benefits of your health insurance plan with your insurance provider directly.

  • Your out-of-network benefits are usually pretty straightforward to use. We have two options:

    • I partner with a company, Thrizer, who can submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf for a small fee. After you meet your deductible, you can decide whether or not you want to pay for our sessions in full. You have the option to either pay in full and wait for reimbursement or simply pay your co-insurance. Thrizer can cover the rest of our session cost for you while they wait for reimbursement from your insurance company.

    • Or if you prefer to deal with your insurance company yourself, I will provide you with a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment.
