My pronouns are they/them.
I am an inquisitive and creative therapist who believes dreams can come true, hardships can be weathered, and compassion can show the way.
My understanding of wellness privileges the wisdom of the body and the power of relationships.
Outside of my work, I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my golden retriever, snuggling my two kitties, creating quirky art, dancing, and eating all things delicious.
Hi, I’m Virg
Therapy with me
Together, we will look at the stories you hold in your heart about yourself and the world. An exploration of your life story allows the opportunity to decide the values and beliefs you want to leave behind and those that you would like to carry forward. You have the capability to author the story of your life in celebration of your strengths and humanness. My aim is to help you create a life rooted in awareness, peace, and empowerment.
I view wellbeing in terms of our relationships: to our environments, the people in our lives, our cultural roots, and to ourselves. The therapeutic relationship we build together is a (play)space to explore and experiment with how you want to be in relationships. We will co-create a trusting relationship where you decide what works best for you. I practice through a social justice, anti-oppression mindset.
You are welcome here, just as you are.
I am a creative arts therapist shaped by my training in drama therapy. Our work together may include techniques from narrative therapy, somatic therapy, EMDR, and the creative arts. I believe story, ritual, movement, and creative expression are valuable tools for healing.
Experience and Education
My approach to counseling is informed by my experience conducting research on the application of drama therapy for grief and loss care in outpatient mental health programs, humanitarian programs for all ages of asylum seekers and refugees from various pockets of the world, and private practice. My work is additionally informed by 9+ years of creative direction and performance art.
